Picture

In 2018, we published the website  https://www.economicseducation.org.
In
addition to  summarizing the findings of the comprehensive curriculum review of all undergraduate economics courses in the Netherlands, the website presents material, ideas, debate and inspiration to help open up academic education, and a discussion platform on how to best organize the education of new economists.

Exploring Economics

Picture
Exploring Economics is an open project of the Network for Pluralist Economics (Netzwerks Plurale Ökonomik e.V.) and the International Student Initiative for Pluralism in Economics (ISIPE). It is an impressive e-learning platform that offers an introduction to pluralist economics, it aggregates online accessible learning material and lists online study courses from throughout the world.

... In the meantime: Here a few tips

Rethinking Economics, An introduction to pluralist economics (2017)

Economics is a broad and diverse discipline, but most economics textbooks only cover one way of thinking about the economy. This book provides an accessible introduction to nine different approaches to economics: from feminist to ecological and Marxist to behavioural.

Global Economic History, A very short introduction, Allen (2011)

Why are some countries rich and others poor? In 1500, global income differences were small, but in 2017, the eight richest people held as much wealth as the bottom half of the world's population. Allen shows how the interplay of geography, globalization, technological change, and economic policy has determined the wealth and poverty of nations.
