Chair Elisa is at the moment a BSc Economics student at the Utrecht School of Economics. She's especially interested in development and finding ways of making education more relevant for today's challenges. |
Mikal Postel-Vinay
Treasurer Mikal studies PPLE (interdisciplinary bachelor in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics). She is particularly motivated in democratizing economics and facilitating discussion within the different disciplines of social sciences to understand the economy. |
Floris van Dijk
Core team Floris is studying Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics with a major in economics at the University of Amsterdam. He is particularly interested in the role quantitative economics can have in more critical economics education. |
Nils Bohr
Secretary Nils is studying PPLE with a major in economics at the University of Amsterdam. He joined Rethinking Economics because he believes that an interdisciplinary and pluralistic approach to economics is essential in solving societal problems of the 21st century. |
Paola Gutiérrez
Core team Paola studied Development Economics and Latin American Studies. She is interested in applying the multidimensional approach of economics in real life and contributing to solving social, economic and environmental problems. |
Marc Beckmann
Core team Marc is studying Politics, Law, Psychology and Economics at the University of Amsterdam. He joined Rethinking Economics because he thinks that working on economics education offers great potential for positive change. |
Habiba Fouad
Core team Habiba is a third year PPLE bachelor student at the University of Amsterdam, with a specialization in Economics and a minor in International Development. She believes that economics education today lacks the depth and diversity of economics in the real world. |
Zohar Preminger
Core team Zohar is a bachelor social science student at Amsterdam University College,specifically concerned with economics, public health and policy. She believes that rethinking economics is essential when trying to create positive change in the face o today's most wicked social problems. |
Renske Ybema
Core team Renske is currently studying Economics at Erasmus University College (EUC). She believes that the economists may only be able to solve today's most urgent social and environmental problems through challenging its modes of thinking and considering approaches from other disciplines. |
